Community Guidelines

1. Respect Every Voice

Soche India is a space for all citizens — regardless of background, religion, caste, gender, language, or political view. Treat every person with dignity.

• Do not use hate speech, slurs, or language that targets individuals or groups based on their identity.
• Disagree with ideas, not with people. Attack arguments, never the person making them.
• Be patient with different perspectives — India's diversity is its strength.

2. Post Authentic Content

Soche India thrives on genuine civic voices. Your posts should reflect honest experiences, real opinions, and verifiable information.

• Do not post fake news, fabricated stories, or deliberately misleading content.
• If you are sharing an experience, make sure it is your own or one you can vouch for.
• Label opinions clearly as opinions. Do not present speculation as fact.
• Do not create multiple accounts to artificially inflate engagement on your posts.

3. Protect Privacy

Everyone has a right to privacy. Do not expose personal information about others without their consent.

• Do not share someone else's phone number, address, workplace, or personal details publicly.
• Do not post images or videos of individuals without their knowledge or in a manner that could harm them.
• Do not doxx — sharing private information to threaten or intimidate is strictly prohibited and may be reported to authorities.

4. Zero Tolerance for Harassment

Harassment of any kind has no place on Soche India. This includes but is not limited to:

• Sending threatening or intimidating messages to any user.
• Repeatedly targeting someone with negative posts, comments, or reactions.
• Sexual harassment or posting content of a sexual nature without consent.
• Inciting others to harass a specific person or group.

5. Keep Conversations Constructive

The purpose of Soche India is to spark meaningful conversations, not just noise.

• Add value to discussions — share context, evidence, or personal experience.
• Do not spam: avoid posting the same content repeatedly or flooding comments with irrelevant replies.
• Suggestions on posts should be genuine solutions or ideas, not just criticism.
• Stay on topic within categories — post civic issues under the right category.

6. No Illegal Content

Do not use Soche India to promote, facilitate, or commit illegal activities.

• Content that incites communal violence, riots, or hatred between groups is strictly banned.
• Do not post content that violates Indian law, including the IT Act, IPC provisions, or court orders.
• Defamatory content — false statements of fact that harm someone's reputation — is not allowed.
• Do not share copyrighted content without permission.

7. Reporting and Moderation

We rely on our community to help keep Soche India safe. If you see content that violates these guidelines:

• Use the Report button on any post to flag it for review.
• Our moderation team reviews all reports and takes action within 48 hours.
• Violations may result in content removal, temporary suspension, or permanent account ban depending on severity.
• Repeat violations will lead to escalating consequences.
